The ID EST JOURNAL (Research, Development, Education, Service and Work) is published every six months and publishes original and unpublished articles in English and Spanish in areas related to the Social Sciences, sub areas of education and psychology.

The journal ID EST (Research, Development, Education, Service and Work) is the responsibility of the Fundación Universitaria del Espinal FUNDES and its scientific committee. All material submitted to the journal for publication and accepted by the Editorial Committee for its originality, importance, plagiarism and relevance to the community is also subjected to double-blind peer review by specialists in the respective fields of knowledge. The journal is defined as a space for the socialization of national and international knowledge, respecting the research lines of its publishing institution.

Periodicity

The magazine is published twice a year during the months of January and July without losing periodicity since its creation.

ETHICAL POLICIES OF THE JOURNAL

The Journal accepts original articles that have not been previously published. Authors are responsible for obtaining the appropriate permissions for partial reproduction and for citing their source correctly. They are published under the responsibility of the authors.  The contributions that appear here do not necessarily reflect the thinking of the journal. If the author of an article wishes to include it later in another publication, the journal where it is published should clearly indicate the details of the original publication, with prior authorization requested from the journal's representatives.

The journal retains a high percentage of external papers for publication.

ID EST journal reserves the rights of:

Total or partial reproduction of the material

Accept it

Reject it

At the same time, it specifies the right to make any editorial modification it deems convenient.

Peer review process

Articles submitted to the journal are subjected to:

Review and selection.

1. The initial selection of the papers are in charge of the Editorial Committee which has as a criterion of acceptance the declaration of originality according to the scientific quality of the manuscript.

2. The concordance with the themes of the journal (the editorial committee may request modifications according to the academic interest of the journal).

3. Double-blind evaluation which will be anonymous for both authors and evaluators by two external academic peers, in this case a report is issued which indicates whether the papers are:

•  Approved without changes
• Approved subject to minor changes
• Does not require re-evaluation
• Approved subject to major changes and requires re-evaluation.
• Rejected and not publishable in the Journal.
• If the evaluators derive in controversies, these will be resolved by a third evaluation by academic peers that
• will have the character of definitive. 

All evaluations will be informed to the author of the article via the platform, so that he/she can make the necessary adjustments requested by the evaluators. Upon receipt of the article with the corrections made.

It is the journal's right to verify the compliance with the evaluators' suggestions and will analyze the justifications for those that have not been taken into account. Once the paper is approved, it will be formatted and sent to the corresponding author for approval.

The contents of the journal are provided in open access through its Web page under the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater exchange of global knowledge.

The Journal's Web content is distributed under a Creative NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license.

This license allows others to distribute, remix, remix, tweak and build upon your work, even for commercial purposes, as long as you are credited as the author of the original creation.

Authorship Policy

Only those persons who have contributed intellectually to the development of the work should appear in the list of authors. Having helped in the collection of data or having participated in any technique are not, by themselves, sufficient criteria to be listed as an author. In general, to be listed as an author, the following requirements must be met:

To have participated in the conception and execution of the work that has resulted in the article in question.
To have participated in the drafting of the text and possible revisions.
To have approved the version that will finally be published.
The Journal declines any responsibility for possible conflicts derived from the authorship of the works published.

Transmission of copyrights
What is expressed in the articles and communications published in the journal belong to the author(s) and not necessarily to the Editorial Committee or the institution that publishes them.

Readers' rights
Readers have the right to read all articles free of charge immediately after publication.

This publication makes no charge for publication or for access to its material.

Machine readability and interoperability
The journal supports interoperability under the open data and open source OAI-PMH protocol. The files are available in full text in HTML and PDF format, which facilitates their reading on any device and computer platform.

Code of Ethics

Duties of authors
All articles must be original work of the authors and without evidence of plagiarism, if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, they must be properly cited. It is essential that authors do not submit the same article to more than one journal at the same time.

Duties of the Editor
The Editor is responsible for deciding and evaluating which of the submitted articles should be published. The decision to publish should be guided by the policies of the Editorial Board of the Journal and should be based exclusively on its policies and guidelines. The Editor and any member of the editorial team should not divulge any information about the submitted papers.

Duties of peer reviewers
Peer review is the tool that guarantees the academic quality of the papers and helps the editors to make editorial decisions. The evaluator must declare that he/she will comply with the evaluation criteria and times designated for this task, as well as respect the confidentiality of the information received. 

Evaluations should be carried out in an objective manner, presenting their observations clearly and directly. 

In the event that there are abnormalities or plagiarism in any work, the reviewer must inform the editor and suspend the review of the work declaring it unpublishable. 

Conflict of interest

The Journal expects authors to specify:

• Commercial association that may involve a conflict of interest.
• Identify conflicting interests that may affect impartiality in editorial conditions or with respect to the authors.
• Do not maintain a work or personal relationship with members of the editorial committee or editor.
  Plagiarism procedure

Papers are expected to comply with

• The articles come from the person who claims to be their author
• The articles are novel

Plagiarism or unauthorized use of third party content, in all its forms, is totally rejected by the Journal; likewise, multiple or redundant publication is considered a serious breach of ethics.

The works sent by authors to the Journal will be submitted to anti-plagiarism software (URKUND). The decision will be made known to the authors by correspondence in cases that exceed 10% of coincidence. Papers that maintain a percentage lower than 10% will proceed to editorial and blind peer review.
