Abstract

A phenomenon that has been presented in the field of citizen security in several countries and that affects tranquility is the so-called active shooters.   The term although uncommon or unknown to many people, this is not so much for the security forces of countries such as the United States, France, Germany or the United Kingdom, even Colombia where there has also been evidence of the presence and actions of people who Without justification some firearms fire on a group of people, ending the lives of many of them and leaving wounds to so many others, thus generating a chaos, fear and feeling of uneasiness among the people where they have happened Facts, the impact generated by a situation of an active shooter, has generated that every day the police in those countries where potentially occur these facts are prepared in a better way in specific training to counteract the threat. It is here that through the structuring of a protocol that the research group puts to consideration a clear and structured stages so that our police service of vigilance and special groups manages in a wise way the situation where Engage an active shooter.
